Date:23-04-2013 Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology launches first satellite project to be completed in UAE
Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) has today (Tuesday, April 23, 2013) announced the launch of the new strategic project DubaiSat-3, the first satellite that will be completed in the UAE. A core team of 45 UAE experts and engineers will lead the development of DubaiSat-3, the third satellite program to be undertaken by EIAST in collaboration with its partner Satrec Initiative (SI), the leading solution provider for Earth observation missions. |

EIAST wishes to ensure the public that such an occurrence poses virtually no threat since the friction caused by re-entry into the atmosphere causes the satellite to break down into pieces and burn out. |
